Or Gerlitz 0efc856249 net/mlx5: E-Switch, Avoid setup attempt if not being e-switch manager
In smartnic env, the host (PF) driver might not be an e-switch
manager, hence the FW will err on driver attempts to deal with
setting/unsetting the eswitch and as a result the overall setup
of sriov will fail.

Fix that by avoiding the operation if e-switch management is not
allowed for this driver instance. While here, move to use the
correct name for the esw manager capability name.

From Christophe JAILLET, first three patche to use kvfree where needed.

 From: Or Gerlitz <ogerlitz@mellanox.com>

Next six patches from Roi and Co adds support for merged
sriov e-switch which comes to serve cases where both PFs, VFs set
on them and both uplinks are to be used in single v-switch SW model.
When merged e-switch is supported, the per-port e-switch is logically
merged into one e-switch that spans both physical ports and all the VFs.

This model allows to offload TC eswitch rules between VFs belonging
to different PFs (and hence have different eswitch affinity), it also
sets the some of the foundations needed for uplink LAG support.

Add routines for manipulating TLS TX offload contexts.

In Innova TLS, TLS contexts are added or deleted
via a command message over the SBU connection.
The HW then sends a response message over the same connection.

These routines will be used by the TLS offload support in a later patch

mlx5/accel is a middle acceleration layer to allow mlx5e and other ULPs
to work directly with mlx5_core rather than Innova FPGA or other mlx5

Linus Torvalds 19fd08b85b Merge candidates for 4.17 merge window
- Fix RDMA uapi headers to actually compile in userspace and be more
   complete

 - Three shared with netdev pull requests from Mellanox:

    * 7 patches, mostly to net with 1 IB related one at the back). This
series addresses an IRQ performance issue (patch 1), cleanups related to
the fix for the IRQ performance problem (patches 2-6), and then extends
the fragmented completion queue support that already exists in the net
side of the driver to the ib side of the driver (patch 7).

    * Mostly IB, with 5 patches to net that are needed to support the remaining
10 patches to the IB subsystem. This series extends the current
'representor' framework when the mlx5 driver is in switchdev mode from
being a netdev only construct to being a netdev/IB dev construct. The IB
dev is limited to raw Eth queue pairs only, but by having an IB dev of
this type attached to the representor for a switchdev port, it enables
DPDK to work on the switchdev device.

    * All net related, but needed as infrastructure for the rdma driver

 - Updates for the hns, i40iw, bnxt_re, cxgb3, cxgb4, hns drivers

 - SRP performance updates

 - IB uverbs write path cleanup patch series from Leon

 - Add RDMA_CM support to ib_srpt. This is disabled by default. Users need to
set the port for ib_srpt to listen on in configfs in order for it to be
   enabled (/sys/kernel/config/target/srpt/discovery_auth/rdma_cm_port)

 - TSO and Scatter FCS support in mlx4

 - Refactor of modify_qp routine to resolve problems seen while working on new
   code that is forthcoming

 - More refactoring and updates of RDMA CM for containers support from Parav

 - mlx5 'fine grained packet pacing', 'ipsec offload' and 'device memory'
   user API features

 - Infrastructure updates for the new IOCTL interface, based on increased usage

 - ABI compatibility bug fixes to fully support 32 bit userspace on 64 bit

Merge tag 'for-linus-unmerged' of git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/rdma/rdma

Pull rdma updates from Jason Gunthorpe:
"Doug and I are at a conference next week so if another PR is sent I
expect it to only be bug fixes. Parav noted yesterday that there are
some fringe case behavior changes in his work that he would like to
fix, and I see that Intel has a number of rc looking patches for HFI1
  they posted yesterday.

Parav is again the biggest contributor by patch count with his ongoing
work to enable container support in the RDMA stack, followed by Leon
doing syzkaller inspired cleanups, though most of the actual fixing
  went to RC.

There is one uncomfortable series here fixing the user ABI to actually
work as intended in 32 bit mode. There are lots of notes in the commit
messages, but the basic summary is we don't think there is an actual
32 bit kernel user of drivers/infiniband for several good reasons.

However we are seeing people want to use a 32 bit user space with 64
bit kernel, which didn't completely work today. So in fixing it we
required a 32 bit rxe user to upgrade their userspace. rxe users are
still already quite rare and we think a 32 bit one is non-existing.

   - Fix RDMA uapi headers to actually compile in userspace and be more
     complete

   - Three shared with netdev pull requests from Mellanox:

      * 7 patches, mostly to net with 1 IB related one at the back).
This series addresses an IRQ performance issue (patch 1),
cleanups related to the fix for the IRQ performance problem
(patches 2-6), and then extends the fragmented completion queue
support that already exists in the net side of the driver to the
ib side of the driver (patch 7).

      * Mostly IB, with 5 patches to net that are needed to support the
remaining 10 patches to the IB subsystem. This series extends
the current 'representor' framework when the mlx5 driver is in
switchdev mode from being a netdev only construct to being a
netdev/IB dev construct. The IB dev is limited to raw Eth queue
pairs only, but by having an IB dev of this type attached to the
representor for a switchdev port, it enables DPDK to work on the
        switchdev device.

      * All net related, but needed as infrastructure for the rdma
        driver

   - Updates for the hns, i40iw, bnxt_re, cxgb3, cxgb4, hns drivers

   - SRP performance updates

   - IB uverbs write path cleanup patch series from Leon

   - Add RDMA_CM support to ib_srpt. This is disabled by default. Users
need to set the port for ib_srpt to listen on in configfs in order
     for it to be enabled
     (/sys/kernel/config/target/srpt/discovery_auth/rdma_cm_port)

   - TSO and Scatter FCS support in mlx4

   - Refactor of modify_qp routine to resolve problems seen while
working on new code that is forthcoming

   - More refactoring and updates of RDMA CM for containers support from
     Parav

   - mlx5 'fine grained packet pacing', 'ipsec offload' and 'device
     memory' user API features

   - Infrastructure updates for the new IOCTL interface, based on
     increased usage

   - ABI compatibility bug fixes to fully support 32 bit userspace on 64
bit kernel as was originally intended. See the commit messages for
     extensive details

Ariel Levkovich cdbd0d2bae net/mlx5: Mkey creation command adjustments
This change updates the mlx5 interface to create mkey
on the device.

The updates in the command mailbox include increasing the
access mode type field to 5 bits in order to support additional
types such as MLX5_MKC_ACCESS_MODE_MEMIC which represents device
memory access type and will be used when registering MR on allocated
device memory.

All the places that use the old access mode format are adjusted as
well.

Ariel Levkovich 24da00164f IB/mlx5: Device memory support in mlx5_ib
This patch adds the mlx5_ib driver implementation for the device
memory allocation API.
It implements the ib_device callbacks for allocation and deallocation
operations as well as a new mmap command support which allows mapping
an allocated device memory to a VMA.

The change also adds reporting of device memory maximum size and
alignment parameters reported in device capabilities.

The allocation/deallocation operations are using new firmware
commands to allocate MEMIC memory on the device.

Ariel Levkovich e72bd817ae net/mlx5: Query device memory capabilities
This patch adds querying of device memory capabilities by the mlx5_core
driver during initialization.

Device memory capabilities is a new capability type and structure
which contains the necessary data that is needed for future device
memory allocation.

The presence of this new capabilities struct is indicated in the
general capabilities struct which is queried first by the driver.
If the presence bit is set, the driver will also query the new
capabilities struct and save it in the device context.

Tariq Toukan 619a8f2a42 net/mlx5e: Use linear SKB in Striding RQ
Current Striding RQ HW feature utilizes the RX buffers so that
there is no wasted room between the strides. This maximises
the memory utilization.
This prevents the use of build_skb() (which requires headroom
and tailroom), and demands to memcpy the packets headers into
the skb linear part.

In this patch, whenever a set of conditions holds, we apply
an RQ configuration that allows combining the use of linear SKB
on top of a Striding RQ.

To use build_skb() with Striding RQ, the following must hold:
1. packet does not cross a page boundary.
2. there is enough headroom and tailroom surrounding the packet.

We can satisfy 1 and 2 by configuring:
stride size = MTU + headroom + tailoom.

This is possible only when:
a. (MTU - headroom - tailoom) does not exceed PAGE_SIZE.
b. HW LRO is turned off.

Using linear SKB has many advantages:
- Saves a memcpy of the headers.
- No page-boundary checks in datapath.
- No filler CQEs.
- Significantly smaller CQ.
- SKB data continuously resides in linear part, and not split to
small amount (linear part) and large amount (fragment).
This saves datapath cycles in driver and improves utilization
  of SKB fragments in GRO.
- The fragments of a resulting GRO SKB follow the IP forwarding
  assumption of equal-size fragments.

Some implementation details:
HW writes the packets to the beginning of a stride,
i.e. does not keep headroom. To overcome this we make sure we can
extend backwards and use the last bytes of stride i-1.
Extra care is needed for stride 0 as it has no preceding stride.
We make sure headroom bytes are available by shifting the buffer
pointer passed to HW by headroom bytes.

This configuration now becomes default, whenever capable.
Of course, this implies turning LRO off.

Performance testing:
ConnectX-5, single core, single RX ring, default MTU.

UDP packet rate, early drop in TC layer:

--------------------------------------------
| pkt size | before | after | ratio |
--------------------------------------------
| 1500byte | 4.65 Mpps | 5.96 Mpps | 1.28x |
| 500byte | 5.23 Mpps | 5.97 Mpps | 1.14x |
| 64byte | 5.94 Mpps | 5.96 Mpps | 1.00x |

Bodong Wang 05d3ac978e net/mlx5: Packet pacing enhancement
Add two new parameters: max_burst_sz and typical_pkt_size (both
in bytes) to rate limit configurations.

max_burst_sz: The device will schedule bursts of packets for an
SQ connected to this rate, smaller than or equal to this value.
Value 0x0 indicates packet bursts will be limited to the device
defaults. This field should be used if bursts of packets must be
strictly kept under a certain value.

typical_pkt_size: When the rate limit is intended for a stream of
similar packets, stating the typical packet size can improve the
accuracy of the rate limiter. The expected packet size will be
the same for all SQs associated with the same rate limit index.

Ethernet driver is updated according to this change, but these two

vport context.

Similarly when mlx5_ib_remove is called determine the port type. If it's
a slave port, unaffiliate it from the master device, otherwise just
remove it from the unaffiliated port list.

The IB device is registered as a multiport device, even if a 2nd port is
not available for affiliation. When the 2nd port is affiliated later the
GID cache must be refreshed in order to get the default GIDs for the 2nd
port in the cache. Export roce_rescan_device to provide a mechanism to
refresh the cache after a new port is bound.

In a multiport configuration all IB object (QP, MR, PD, etc) related
commands should flow through the master mlx5_core_dev, other commands
must be sent to the slave port mlx5_core_mdev, an interface is provide
to get the correct mdev for non IB object commands.

Daniel Jurgens 8737f818ca net/mlx5: Set software owner ID during init HCA
Generate a unique 128bit identifier for each host and pass that value to
firmware in the INIT_HCA command if it reports the sw_owner_id
capability. Each device bound to the mlx5_core driver will have the same
software owner ID.

In subsequent patches mlx5_core devices will be bound via a new VPort
command so that they can operate together under a single InfiniBand
device. Only devices that have the same software owner ID can be bound,
to prevent traffic intended for one host arriving at another.

The INIT_HCA command length was expanded by 128 bits. The command
length is provided as an input FW commands. Older FW does not have a
problem receiving this command in the new longer form.

Pull rdma updates from Doug Ledford:
"This is a fairly plain pull request. Lots of driver updates across the
stack, a huge number of static analysis cleanups including a close to
50 patch series from Bart Van Assche, and a number of new features
inside the stack such as general CQ moderation support.

Nothing really stands out, but there might be a few conflicts as you
take things in. In particular, the cleanups touched some of the same
lines as the new timer_setup changes.

Everything in this pull request has been through 0day and at least two
days of linux-next (since Stephen doesn't necessarily flag new
errors/warnings until day2). A few more items (about 30 patches) from
Intel and Mellanox showed up on the list on Tuesday. I've excluded
those from this pull request, and I'm sure some of them qualify as
fixes suitable to send any time, but I still have to review them
fully. If they contain mostly fixes and little or no new development,
then I will probably send them through by the end of the week just to
get them out of the way.

There was a break in my acceptance of patches which coincides with the
computer problems I had, and then when I got things mostly back under
control I had a backlog of patches to process, which I did mostly last
Friday and Monday. So there is a larger number of patches processed in
that timeframe than I was striving for.

Merge tag 'for-linus-ioctl' of git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/dledford/rdma

Pull rdma updates from Doug Ledford:
"This is a big pull request.

Of note is that I'm sending you the new ioctl API for the rdma
subsystem. We put it up on linux-api@, but didn't get much response.
The API is complex, but it solves two different problems in one go:

   1) The bi-directional nature of the RDMA file write calls, which
created the security hole we had to handle (and for which the fix
is now causing problems for systems in production, we were a bit
over zealous in the fix and the ability to open a device, then
fork, then create new queue pairs on the device and use them is
      broken).

   2) The bloat caused by different vendors implementing extensions to
the base verbs API. Each vendor's hardware is slightly different,
and the hardware might be suitable for one extension but not
      another.

By the time we add generic extensions for all the different ways
that the different hardware can offload things, the API becomes
bloated. Things like our completion structs have started to exceed
a cache line in size because of all the elements needed to support
this. That in turn shows up heavily in the performance graphs with
a noticable drop in performance on 100Gigabit links as our
completion structs go from occupying one cache line to 1+.

This API makes things like the completion structs modular in a
very similar way to netlink so that your structs can only include
the items needed for the offloads/features you are actually using
on a given queue pair. In that way we support everything, but only
use what we need, and our structs stay smaller.

The ioctl API is better explained by the posting on linux-api@ than I
can explain it here, so I'll just leave it at that.

The rest of the pull request is typical stuff.

Yishai Hadas a550ddfc54 IB/mlx5: Add support for multi underlay QP
Set underlay QPN as part of flow rule when it's applicable.

There is one root flow table in the NIC RX namespace and all the
underlay QPs steer the traffic to this flow table.
In order to prevent QP to get traffic which is not target to its
underlay QP, we need to set the underlay QP number as part of
the steering matching.

Note:
When multicast traffic is sent the QPN filtering is done by the firmware
as some early step. Adding the QPN match on the flow table entry is
wrong as by that time the target QPN holds the multicast address (e.g.
FF(s)) and it won't match.

Rabie Loulou a8ffcc741a net/mlx5: Increase the maximum flow counters supported
Read new NIC capability field which represnts 16 MSBs of the max flow
counters number supported (max_flow_counter_31_16).

Backward compatibility with older firmware is preserved, the modified
driver reads max_flow_counter_31_16 as 0 from the older firmware and
uses up to 64K counters.

Changed flow counter id from 16 bits to 32 bits. Backward compatibility
with older firmware is preserved as we kept the 16 LSBs of the counter
id in place and added 16 MSBs from reserved field.

Changed the background bulk reading of flow counters to work in chunks
of at most 32K counters, to make sure we don't attempt to allocate very
large buffers.

Maor Gottlieb 03404e8ae6 IB/mlx5: Add support to dropless RQ
RQs that were configured for "delay drop" will prevent packet drops
when their WQEs are depleted.
Marking an RQ to be drop-less is done by setting delay_drop_en in RQ
context using CREATE_RQ command.

Since this feature is globally activated/deactivated by using the
SET_DELAY_DROP command on all the marked RQs, we activated/deactivated
it according to the number of RQs with 'delay_drop' enabled.

When timeout is expired, then the feature is deactivated. Therefore
the driver handles the delay drop timeout event and reactivate it.

A client driver may use these functions to set up a high-speed DMA

Innova IPSec offload in mlx5 Ethernet driver.

Add commands to retrieve Innova FPGA SBU capabilities, and to
read/write Innova FPGA configuration space registers and memory,
over internal I2C.

At high level, the FPGA configuration space is divided such:
0x00000000 - 0x007fffff is reserved for the SBU
0x00800000 - 0xffffffff is reserved for the Shell
0x400000000 - ... is DDR memory

Ariel Levkovich 19cc75249a IB/mlx5: Use IP version matching to classify IP traffic
This change adds the ability for flow steering to classify IPv4/6
packets with MPLS tag (Ethertype 0x8847 and 0x8848) as standard IP
packets and hit IPv4/6 classifed steering rules.

When user added a flow rule with IP classification, driver was
implicitly adding ethertype matching to the created rule in order
to distinguish between IPv4 and IPv6 protocols.
Since IP packets with MPLS tag header have MPLS ethertype, they missed
the rule and ended up hitting the default filters.
Such behavior prevented from MPLS packets to undergo inbound traffic
load balancing flows (if such were defined by configuring RSS) to
achieve higher throughput - the way that non-MPLS IP packets performed.

Since our device is able to look past the MPLS tag and identify the
next protocol we introduce this solution which replaces Ethertype
matching by the device's capability to perform IP version parsing
and matching in order to distinguish between IPv4 and IPv6.
Therefore, whenever a flow with IP spec is added and device support IP
version matching, driver will implicitly add IP version matching to the
rule (Based on the IP spec type) without Ethertype matching which will
cause relevant MPLS tagged packets to hit this rule as well.
Otherwise (device doesn't support IP version matching), we fall back to
setting Ethertype matching.

If the user's filters specify an L2 ethertype and an IP spec
the rule will then match both the ethertype and the IP version.

The device's support for IP version matching is reported by the
device via dedicated capability bit in query_device_cap and named
outer/inner_ip_version.

Add the definitions related to creation/deletion of a modify header

packet header modify (re-write) as part of steering. Add as well the
modify header id into two intermediate structs and set it to the FTE.

Note that as the push/pop vlan steering actions are emulated by the
ewitch management code, we're not breaking any compatibility while
changing their values to make room for the modify header action which
is not emulated and whose value is part of the FW API. The new bit
values for the emulated actions are at the end of the possible range.

be cache line aligned to avoid RMWs on the last cache line. The default

the hardware to use 128B alignment on systems with 128B cache lines.

In addition we lower bound MPWRQ stride by HCA cacheline in mlx5e,
MPWRQ stride should be at least the HCA cacheline, the current default
