[ Upstream commit ed7bedd2c3ca040f1e8ea02c6590a93116b1ec78 ]

Currently, the VF down state bit is cleared after VF sending
link status request command. There is problem that when VF gets
link status replied from PF, the down state bit may still set
as 1. In this case, the link status replied from PF will be
ignored and always set VF link status to down.

To fix this problem, clear VF down state bit before VF requests
link status.

Currently, some bit filed definitions of flow director TCAM

Huazhong Tan 61f54de2e9 net: hns3: remove a misused pragma packed
hclge_dbg_reg_info[] is defined as an array of packed structure
accidentally. However, this array contains pointers, which are
no longer aligned naturally, and cannot be relocated on PPC64.
Hence, when compile-testing this driver on PPC64 with
CONFIG_RELOCATABLE=y (e.g. PowerPC allyesconfig), there will be
some warnings.

Since each field in structure hclge_qos_pri_map_cmd and
hclge_dbg_bitmap_cmd is type u8, the pragma packed is unnecessary
for these two structures as well, so remove the pragma packed in
hclge_debugfs.h to fix this issue, and this increases
hclge_dbg_reg_info[] by 4 bytes per entry.

It looks like the BAR memory region had already been unmapped before we
start clearing CMDQ registers in it, which is pretty bad and the kernel
happily kills itself because of a Current EL Data Abort (on arm64).

Moving the CMDQ uninitialization a bit early fixes the issue for me.

The device specifications querying is unsupported by the old
firmware, in this case, these specifications are 0. However,
some specifications should not be 0 or will cause problem.

So after querying from firmware, some device specifications
are needed to check their value and set to default value if
their values are 0.

The hns3 driver clear valid bit in the rx desc before notifying the

Add hns3_rx_ring_move_fw() function to clear the valid bit in the rx

Waiman Long 453431a549 mm, treewide: rename kzfree() to kfree_sensitive()
As said by Linus:

A symmetric naming is only helpful if it implies symmetries in use.
  Otherwise it's actively misleading.

In "kzalloc()", the z is meaningful and an important part of what the
  caller wants.

In "kzfree()", the z is actively detrimental, because maybe in the
future we really _might_ want to use that "memfill(0xdeadbeef)" or
something. The "zero" part of the interface isn't even _relevant_.

The main reason that kzfree() exists is to clear sensitive information
that should not be leaked to other future users of the same memory
objects.

Rename kzfree() to kfree_sensitive() to follow the example of the recently
added kvfree_sensitive() and make the intention of the API more explicit.
In addition, memzero_explicit() is used to clear the memory to make sure
that it won't get optimized away by the compiler.

The renaming is done by using the command sequence:

  git grep -w --name-only kzfree |\
  xargs sed -i 's/kzfree/kfree_sensitive/'

followed by some editing of the kfree_sensitive() kerneldoc and adding
a kzfree backward compatibility macro in slab.h.

Yonglong Liu a7e90ee596 net: hns3: fix a TX timeout issue
When the queue depth and queue parameters are modified, there is
a low probability that TX timeout occurs. The two operations cause
the link to be down or up when the watchdog is still working. All
queues are stopped when the link is down. After the carrier is on,
all queues are woken up. If the watchdog detects the link between
the carrier on and wakeup queues, a false TX timeout occurs.

So fix this issue by modifying the sequence of carrier on and queue
wakeup, which is symmetrical to the link down action.

David S. Miller a57066b1a0 Merge git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/netdev/net
The UDP reuseport conflict was a little bit tricky.

The net-next code, via bpf-next, extracted the reuseport handling
into a helper so that the BPF sk lookup code could invoke it.

At the same time, the logic for reuseport handling of unconnected
sockets changed via commit efc6b6f6c3
which changed the logic to carry on the reuseport result into the
rest of the lookup loop if we do not return immediately.

This requires moving the reuseport_has_conns() logic into the callers.

While we are here, get rid of inline directives as they do not belong
in foo.c files.

The other changes were cases of more straightforward overlapping
modifications.

Yunsheng Lin 8ceca59fb3 net: hns3: fix error handling for desc filling
The content of the TX desc is automatically cleared by the HW
when the HW has sent out the packet to the wire. When desc filling
fails in hns3_nic_net_xmit(), it will call hns3_clear_desc() to do
the error handling, which miss zeroing of the TX desc and the
checking if a unmapping is needed.

So add the zeroing and checking in hns3_clear_desc() to avoid the
above problem. Also add DESC_TYPE_UNKNOWN to indicate the info in

the desc_cb->type of zero as packet and add to the sent pkt

The max send size of BD supported by the HW is 65535, when a SKB

When asserts VF reset fail, flag HCLGEVF_STATE_CMD_DISABLE

If there is a PF reset pending before FLR prepare, FLR's

Barry Song c2a2e1270a net: hns3: streaming dma buffer sync between cpu and device
Right now they are empty functions for our SoC since hardware can keep
cache coherent, but it is still good to align with streaming DMA APIs
as device drivers should not make an assumption of SoC.

Masahiro Yamada a7f7f6248d treewide: replace '---help---' in Kconfig files with 'help'
Since commit 84af7a6194 ("checkpatch: kconfig: prefer 'help' over
'---help---'"), the number of '---help---' has been gradually
decreasing, but there are still more than 2400 instances.

This commit finishes the conversion. While I touched the lines,
I also fixed the indentation.

There are a variety of indentation styles found.

  a) 4 spaces + '---help---'
  b) 7 spaces + '---help---'
  c) 8 spaces + '---help---'
  d) 1 space + 1 tab + '---help---'
  e) 1 tab + '---help---' (correct indentation)
  f) 1 tab + 1 space + '---help---'
  g) 1 tab + 2 spaces + '---help---'

In order to convert all of them to 1 tab + 'help', I ran the
following commend:

  $ find . -name 'Kconfig*' | xargs sed -i 's/^[[:space:]]*---help---/\thelp/'
